- Salary: MXN monthly before tax.
General Objective Of The Position:
Play a pivotal role in creating a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for middle and high school students. The primary objective is to inspire and engage students through innovative instructional methods, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth. As a Middle/High School Teacher, you will contribute to the development of critical thinking skills and cultivate a love for learning.
Teaching:
- Chemistry, physics and biology, G6 - G12
- Foster a Love of Learning and Reading: Cultivate a culture that promotes a passion for learning and reading across the school community.
- Promote School Spirit: Actively engage in fostering school spirit and pride, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for students, staff, and the community.
- Oversee School Activities and Staff: Manage all school activities and ensure effective coordination among students, teachers, parents, and support personnel. Maintain positive interactions and collaboration across all school functions.
- Uphold ASFC Pillars and Values: Safeguard and promote the ASFC school pillars and values, ensuring they are visible and integrated throughout the school culture and activities.
- Ensure Student and Staff Safety: Establish and implement safety procedures for students, staff, and visitors, including conducting regular drills and ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Knowledge of Curriculum and Early Childhood Development: Possess a solid understanding of Early Childhood Development, curriculum design, play-based learning, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. Work closely with the PYP Coordinator to implement the curriculum effectively.
- Monitor SEP Compliance: Supervise and ensure that all SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública) requirements are met, including assessments, diagnostic tests, attendance, and student support services.
- Coordinate Admissions Process: Oversee the admissions process, ensuring it is transparent, equitable, and aligned with high academic standards.
- Engage and Educate Parents: Develop and implement programs to educate parents about ASFC’s positive parenting strategies, school pillars, the IB Learner Profile, and other expectations. Provide necessary support to parents to ensure they are active partners in their children's education.
- Lead the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Team: Direct and supervise the SEL team, ensuring the development of relevant curricula and the implementation of preventive and corrective practices to meet the emotional and social needs of students.
- Network with IB and External Communities: Establish and maintain networks with other IB schools and international educational communities. Advocate on behalf of the school and students in local and global contexts, promoting the values and objectives of ASFC.
