Licensed teachers, qualified to teach within their home state, province, or region's public schooling system, may be eligible to teach overseas in public and private school programs. Positions for licensed teachers can be quite lucrative.

Types of Licensed Teacher Jobs Abroad

Licensed teachers and experienced education professionals may work within public or private schools as subject-specific teachers, department heads and lead teachers, vice-principals, principals, or education administrators such as advisors or cluster managers. Licensed teachers are eligible to teach pre-school through elementary, middle, and high school; those with leadership experience may work as teacher trainers or school administrators.

Bachelor's degree in relevant subject area (Masters degree preferred); Teaching certification/license (eligible to teach in home state/province; certification in subject area preferred)
Minimum 4–5 years of relevant teaching experience and 2–3 years of relevant leadership experience for most positions
Cluster Manager
Bachelor's degree (Masters degree strongly preferred); Teaching certification/license (eligible to teach in home state/province)
Minimum 5 years' experience as principal at more than one school
