Role Requirements:

  • Visa/Status: F visa holders or Korean Citizens
  • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check (if applicable)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administration or other academic leadership roles
  • Master's Degree or higher in Education,
  • Education Leadership or degrees related to curriculum
  • Required leadership experience as Head Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Vice Principal, etc. 
  • 3-year contract

Role Description:

The initial contract for this role begins on July 24th, 2025, and ends on August 19th, 2028, for renewal following a successful evaluation. We will be starting interviews as we receive candidates either virtually, on GoogleMeet, with the School Principal and General Manager, or, preferably, in person. We will close the position once it is filled.

Teacher Leadership & Mentorship: Applicants with teaching experience are preferred
Scheduling Experience: Designing, creating, and checking student and teacher schedules
In-depth, hands-on experience with Online LMS: SPAS will designate the school's LMS for implementation at Ansan
AP School/American-Based Curriculum/Standards Familiarity: SPAS is a PreAP/AP school
Energy and Enthusiasm: SPAS is looking for energetic candidates with previous experience in administration - candidates with no previous school operation experience will not be considered for this role
Data-Minded:  Candidates who have utilized educational data in decision making are preferred (MAP/SR/AR/WIDA, etc.)
Professional Degree: We are considering only candidates with administrative degrees/master's degrees in education
Strong Background & Proven Track Record: We are only accepting candidates who can provide 3 letters of recommendation from former and their current employers
Holistic Student Focus: All candidates must support Social-Emotional Learning and a holistic view of students '

The opening is for a Vice Principal position on our Gwanggyo Campus.

Work Day: 7:40 AM - 4:40 PM
Once a week: 4:50 PM for Staff Meeting
Contract Term:

  • 3 years
  • Mid-contract Performance Review and end of contract Full Review

This role reports directly to and is supervised by the School Principal & General Manager, which includes mentorship, 1:1 meetings, and direct feedback. All candidates must have mentorship and teacher leadership experience. All candidates must be proficient with group presentations with both parents and teacher. A strong Vice Principal candidate will be detail-oriented, have both long-range and short-range planning abilities, excellent public speaking skills, familiarity with structures needed for administrative and educational support in mid-sized schools, and experience with new projects and new initiatives in previous roles.
