Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification/license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Math, preferably within the IB MYP framework.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.

 

  • Immigration fees (we will make the arrangements and fees will be covered by MIS).
  • We will ask you to cover the expenses for going to your nearest Mexican embassy and to have an apostille on your Diploma.
  • Health Insurance (only for the employee, not the dependants)
  • Housing according to the terms of the contract.
  • Holidays: ○ December: 2 weeks (approx. 10 days) ○ Spring Break: 2 weeks ○ Summer: 4 to 5 weeks (according to the Ministry of Education calendar) ○ National Holidays 
  • Transportation costs from home to school and from school to home must be covered by the employee.

Job Summary:
Madison International School is seeking a dynamic and passionate MYP Math Teacher to join our team. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we are committed to providing a rigorous and comprehensive education that encourages students to develop into critical thinkers, compassionate individuals, and global citizens. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the IB philosophy and curriculum, and an enthusiasm for fostering a love of mathematics in students.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum and Instruction

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver challenging and engaging lessons that align with the IB MYP framework.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance the learning experience and foster analytical skills.

Assessment and Feedback

  • Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Use assessment data to inform and adjust teaching strategies for improved student outcomes.

Classroom Management

  • Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and a positive learning experience.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive and safe learning environment.
  • Address and resolve any behavioral issues in a fair and consistent manner.

Professional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that enrich the IB MYP curriculum.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and IB training sessions.
  • Engage with the school community, including parents and guardians, to support student learning and well-being.
