Role Requirements:

Job Description:

Role Description:

The initial contract for this role begins on July 24th, 2025, and ends in August 2027. We will be starting interviews as we receive candidates either virtually, on GoogleMeet, with the School Principal and General Manager, or, preferably, in person. We will close the position once it is filled.

Responsibilities Overview:

Follow the format and expectations provided by SPAS to create a syllabus, unit plans, rubrics, and weekly lesson plans for students
Plan regular and consistent homework assignments and provide feedback/corrections
Create tests and projects to measure and ensure student learning
Prepare progress reports and report cards at the end of each term
Attend and participate in faculty and staff meetings
Take part in PTCs (Parent-Teacher Conferences) and speak/discuss with parents regarding their children
Attend official SPAS functions as outlined on the calendar

The opening is for a Full-Time Teacher position on our Ansan Campus.

Work Day: 7:40. AM - 4:40PM
Once a week: 4:50 PM for Staff Meetings
Weekly Student Contact Hours: 25
Class Hours: 20-25
ASA: Included in Contact Hours
Other Duties: Lunch/Recess supervision, included in Contact Hours
Contract Term: 2 years
Mid-contract Performance Review and end of contract Full Review
Standards: NCA Standards for the Arts

The music teacher role will be for elementary to middle school music classes
Weekly lesson plans and LMS updates

Reports To: School Principal, Vice Principal, Dean of Students, Curriculum Coordinator

SPAS Ansan is recruiting a talented music educator for a full-time role on our campus. Classes will range from grades 1-8. Well-qualified candidates will have experience teaching at these age levels. Strong candidates will show a dynamic range of abilities in their field and flexibility to teach a wide range of students. All candidates should be experts in one medium of music and have studied music and/or music education in a degree program.
