Position Overview:
GCA is seeking a passionate and professional Physical Education and Bible Teacher to join our school. This full-time position includes teaching Physical Education to students in grades 1–12, Middle and High School Health, and one Bible class to male/female students in either Middle School or High School.
We are also looking for someone who can take on the role of Middle School boys’ basketball coach, making this an ideal position for a teacher who is enthusiastic about athletics and mentoring students both in the classroom and on the court. The successful candidate will work closely with the school’s Athletic Director to plan and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate PE curriculum.
Classes are taught in English, and students come from diverse backgrounds, with English serving as the common language of instruction. The successful candidate will support students’ physical, academic, and spiritual development in alignment with our school’s Christian mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physical Education to students in grades 1–12 using developmentally appropriate strategies that promote fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director to design and implement PE lesson plans across grade levels
- Instruct Health Education classes in Middle and High School, focusing on wellness, safety, and lifestyle choices
- Teach one Bible class to students in Middle or High School, using the school-provided curriculum and contributing to students’ spiritual growth
- Serve as the Middle School boys’ basketball coach, planning and leading practices and games during the season
- Model Christ-like character and behavior, both in and out of the classroom
