Position Overview:
GCA is seeking a passionate and professional Second Grade Homeroom Teacher to join our team. This full-time position involves teaching a US-based curriculum in an all-English environment, where students come from diverse backgrounds and English is their common language. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational and spiritual development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core subjects including Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies using a US-based curriculum (curriculum details below).
- Facilitate daily Bible classes and devotions to nurture students' spiritual growth.
- Collaborate with specials teachers for Art, Music, Physical Education, and Mandarin classes.
- Accompany students during lunch, recess, and field trips to provide supervision and support.
- Create an engaging, Christ-centered classroom environment by decorating, planning, and coordinating activities for special programs and celebrations (e.g., Science Fair, Thanksgiving, Christmas, MLK Day, and 100 Days of School).
- Communicate regularly with parents to ensure a strong home-school partnership.

Science and Social Studies: Harcourt School Publishers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification/license.
- Experience teaching elementary-level students, ideally in an international or multicultural setting.
- A strong personal commitment to integrating the Gospel into teaching and a vibrant Christian faith.
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and families.
