Job Description:

IB DP Psychology Teacher:

The Madison International School, Country Merida, opens the position for an IB DP Psychology teacher with the following responsibilities:

Develop, lead and teach a rigorous and challenging Psychology course that lasts the two years of the Diploma Programme.
Work collaboratively and reflectively with DP teachers to support vertical planning as well as TOK integration.
Know all elements for Internal Assessment in SL and HL
Encourage and support students in the writing of the Extended Essay in Psychology
Work with the DP and HS coordinators to administer the IB assessment and local requirements.
Work with the High School leadership group to monitor student progress.
Collaborate with High School duties as well as school activities and events.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Successful experience teaching in the IB Diploma Programme
Recent training certificate in IB Psychology
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and others
Ability to plan for differentiated instruction and to have HL and SL students in the same cohort
Ability to collaborate with all staff in our High School in a positive manner
Proven ability to develop successful academic programs
Relevant professional development in teaching and learning.
Proven ability to create learning units.
