Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Science, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology or Education 
  • English Proficiency
  • Successful experience teaching in the IB Diploma Programme
  • Recent training certificate in TOK or another IB Diploma subject

  • Immigration fees (we will make the arrangements and fees will be covered by MIS). We will ask you to cover the expenses for going to your nearest Mexican embassy and to have an apostille on your Diploma.

  • Holidays: ○ December: 2 weeks (approx. 10 days) ○ Spring Break: 2 weeks ○ Summer: 4 to 5 weeks (according to the Ministry of Education calendar) ○ National Holidays

IB DP Psychology Teacher:

The Madison International School, Country Merida, opens the position for an IB DP Psychology teacher with the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and teach a rigorous and challenging Psychology course that lasts the two years of the Diploma Programme. 
  • Work collaboratively and reflectively with DP teachers to support vertical planning as well as TOK integration.
  • Know all elements for Internal Assessment in SL and HL
  • Encourage and support students in the writing of the Extended Essay in Psychology 
  • Work with the DP and HS coordinators to administer the IB assessment and local requirements.
  • Work with the High School leadership group to monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with High School duties as well as school activities and events.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Successful experience teaching in the IB Diploma Programme
  • Recent training certificate in IB Psychology
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and others
