Job Summary: Elementary English Teacher (Full-Time)
AMLY School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary English Teacher to join our team for the 25/26 school year. In this full-time role, you will deliver 20-25 English sessions per week, fostering students’ language development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. You will create engaging lessons that align with our US-accredited curriculum while honoring Libyan cultural values.
As a teacher at AMLY, you will manage a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assess student progress, and maintain regular communication with parents. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in school events are key aspects of the role.
We are looking for a native English speaker with a Bachelor’s degree in Education or English, teaching certification, and a passion for helping young learners grow into confident, capable leaders. Join us in shaping the future at AMLY School!
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Teaching English:
• Teach 20-25 English lessons per week, focusing on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
• Use creative and engaging methods to make learning fun and effective.
• Plan lessons that meet the needs of all students in your grade level.
2. Managing the Classroom:
• Create a safe, positive, and respectful classroom where students enjoy learning.
• Set clear rules and expectations to maintain a good learning environment.
3. Supporting Student Progress:
• Assess students regularly through quizzes, activities, and homework.
• Keep track of their progress and give helpful feedback.
• Share updates with parents about how their children are doing in class.
4. Working with Others:
• Collaborate with other teachers to share ideas and improve teaching methods.
• Join meetings and participate in school activities or events.
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Take part in training or workshops to stay updated on the best teaching practices.
• Be flexible and ready to adapt lessons to better meet students’ needs.
6. Additional Duties:
• Supervise students during breaks or lunch as needed.
• Help with school events and other tasks assigned by the administration.
