SEN Classroom Assistant

Aldar Education is currently seeking a high-performing SEN Classroom Assistant for an immediate start. The current vacancy is based in ADNOC School Madinat Zayed Campus. The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the educational and social development of the students under the direction of the Principal/Vice Principal/Class Teacher.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom as directed to enable them to fully participate in activities.
• Assist class teachers with maintaining up-to-date student records.
• Support students with additional and specific needs, such as feeding themselves using the bathroom (KG).
• Work with other professionals where necessary.
• Lead small groups in specific activities as planned by the teacher
• Prepare and present displays of student work.
• Support class teachers with the preparation of resources, i.e., photocopying.
• Undertake other administrative duties on occasion as directed by the Principal.
• Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality, attendance, and conduct.
• Be proactive in matters relating to Health and Safety.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Undertake professional duties that may be reasonably assigned by the Principal / Vice Principal.
