This is a certified Secondary School French teaching position that requires you to have a recognized teaching qualification in teaching Secondary-age French.
Please note that you MUST have the following qualifications and experience to be considered:
- Bachelor or Master in Education or
- Relevant degree (minimum 3-year Bachelor degree) and a post-graduate qualification in education (PGCE, IPGCE, Teaching Now/Ready) and/or a teaching license from a national/state accreditation board)
This position is not open to candidates without the above qualifications. We will not be able to consider applicants with non-education degrees and a TEFL/TESOL qualification.

Expat teacher benefits at VAS consist of a competitive salary, monthly housing allowance, relocation allowance for overseas hired teachers, tuition waiver for up to two children, international health insurance, up to 12 weeks of paid holidays, retention bonus, and more. As a teacher of Secondary School French, you will be a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and inspiring teacher who will be joining a supportive, welcoming, and successful team, with excellent outcomes. The key duties of this role will include:
- Teaching Secondary Cambridge International French to Grade 6-10 students
- Ensuring that teaching and learning in the classroom are of a consistently high quality
- Teaching engaging and challenging lessons that promote students’ abilities to learn independently and to respond effectively to feedback
- Contributing to the MFL team and taking an active part in curriculum planning and preparation
- Instilling in students a love of French
- Actively contributing to a cohesive, hardworking, and happy team, with a strong collegiate culture
- Promoting and developing students’ academic, personal, and social development beyond the classroom
- As this is a peripatetic position, you will be required to travel between three campuses to teach (a maximum of 2 campuses per day)
