Founded in 1994, Hobby School is the first private school in Mongolia, established to educate the next generation of Mongolian intelligentsia during a time of tough economic conditions, a rapidly growing urban population, and a declining public education system. With 30 years of experience in the field, Hobby School continues to be a leading institution in the country.
The school's name, while evoking leisure, carries deep significance. It was inspired by the Eurasian Hobby (Falco Subbuteo), a falcon species revered by Mongolians as a symbol of courage and vigor.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, Hobby School serves approximately 1,200 students, from grades 1 to 12 (ages 6 to 17). Today, the school is widely regarded as one of Mongolia's top secondary education institutions.
Our Mission and Vision
Guided by the vision of our founder, Dr. Oyuntsetseg, Hobby School is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Mongolian intelligentsia. To ensure accessibility for families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, the school maintains tuition fees at levels far below its peer institutions.
