Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a valid teaching certificate/license in content area and/or related field.
- A minimum of two years of current, full-time related teaching experience. • Teaching experience in an American curriculum school is preferred.
- IELTS or TOFEL for non-native teachers (6.5 for subjects taught in English & 7.5 for English subjects).
- Experience with current best practices, current teaching materials, and current instructional strategies, as well as recent professional growth activities.

Responsibilities:
- Teach all areas related to the subject and relevant curriculum.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior, policies, and procedures to maintain order among students.
- Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, and social development.
- Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for students to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced instruction, demonstration, and work time program that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
- Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
- Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
- Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their student's progress and to determine their priorities for their students and their resource needs.
- Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of ADEC/KHDA and schools.
- Guide and counsel students with adjustment and academic problems or special academic interests.
- Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and the SEN Department.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on students and activities, as required by ADEC/KHDA and the School.
- Assess students by conducting quizzes, tests, projects, etc …
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
- Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students' needs and progress.
- Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
- Administer standardized ability and achievement tests and interpret results to determine students' developmental levels and needs.
- Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors.
