ADNOC Schools is currently seeking a Library Assistant for the August 2025 start. The current vacancy is based in ADNOC School, Madinat Zayed Western Region, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities :
- Providing library and audio-visual information and circulation services assistance to library users.
- Assists students, librarians, and teachers within the library and performs technical services assistance to the Librarian.
- Perform different tasks such as clerical, computer work, and light library maintenance.
- Arranges and prepares audio-visual presentations and maintains audio-visual equipment.
- Helps school librarians focus on higher-level responsibilities.
- Issues items and receive library equipment such as films, books, slides, and other phonograph records.
- Recording data as well as due dates that are reflected by hand and use photographic equipment for issuing books to ADNOC Schools students and staff.
- Provides ready-reference services assistance such as statistical, factual, library and audio-visual collection, e-sources, and biographic data; refers in-depth reference questions and online information retrieval services to Librarian or Senior Librarian.
- Assists Librarian in preparation of library publications, posting of conference announcements, new acquisitions display, and other current awareness services as assigned.
- Maintains, updates, and follows up on all acquisitions and subscription records, including purchase orders, invoices, receipts, etc., and notifies users regarding the status of their orders
- Processes a variety of manual and electronic documents and files records to provide an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Assists Librarian in the input of cataloging and classification data, production of labels, and physical processing of library and audio-visual materials, checks-in serials, and claims missing issues.
- Responsible for locating books and other publications for the borrowers and issuing identification cards to borrowers according to procedures established. Make sure that the cards are filed accordingly into the library’s catalog drawers according to its system.
- Deals directly with students and staff via telephone and email inquiries regarding stock, location of items, library catalog, e-journals, and databases; explains relevant procedures such as searching library records in EOS.Web.
- Utilizes the automated library system, various library verification tools, and CD-ROM databases to assist in the performance of all duties; produces reports and statistics using same, and keeps trained in latest system enhancements and library developments.
