EGA's KG Teacher plays a vital role in fostering early childhood development through an inquiry-based, play-centered approach. The teacher nurtures social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Implementation: Deliver IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Early Years lessons that focus on language development, numeracy, science exploration, and social skills through play-based learning.
- Inquiry-Based Learning: Encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on activities and student-led exploration.
- Language & Literacy Development: Foster early reading and writing skills using phonics, storytelling, songs, and interactive literacy activities.
- Numeracy Foundations: Introduce basic math concepts through games, manipulatives, and real-world applications.
- Social & Emotional Growth: Support children in developing independence, communication, and interpersonal skills through structured and free play.
- Differentiation & Support: Adapt teaching strategies to support English as an Additional Language (EAL) students and diverse learning needs.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where students feel respected and confident to explore.
- Parent Communication: Engage with parents through regular updates, conferences, and collaborative learning activities.
- Safeguarding & Well-being: Ensure students’ safety, health, and emotional well-being, following the school’s child protection policies.
BACKGROUND
Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is Canadian leadership led IB PYP accredited school, an IB MYP Candidate, and a CIS member school that offers an advanced education model in Doha, Qatar in addition to the Qatari Curriculum for the Arabic Language, Islamic, and Social Studies. As of the academic year 2025/2026, we provide schooling to Pre-KG to Grade 10 students, and we plan for natural growth up to grade 12 in successive years.
EGA's education philosophy emphasizes inquiry, stimulates curiosity, and fosters comprehension and creativity. Students at the EGA acquire and practice strong leadership skills and develop a sense of global responsibility.
SCHOOL CAMPUS
The school operates out of a purposely built campus situated on a 60,000 square meter land plot in the Northside of Doha. As of the academic year 2024/2025, our enrolment is 1,850 students; however, the school campus' total enrolment capacity is 4,650 students.
