The Canadian International School of Egypt (CISE) is an Ontario Ministry of Education Private School, delivering an Ontario-based curriculum Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 program in Cairo, Egypt. CISE is a well-established school in its 23rd year of operation with a student population of approximately 1600 students.
The Administrators and the majority of the teaching staff are trained and certified in Canada. Of the 80 teachers on staff, approximately 85% are Canadian.
The school follows the Ontario Curriculum using Canadian teaching and classroom management techniques and Canadian learning materials (textbooks, computer software, and visual aids). In addition to the regular core subjects taught in English, students study in French and Arabic.
CISE is the only school in Egypt to offer a full French Immersion Program (grades 1 to 8).
We are currently searching for a Grade 1 French Immersion Teacher for an immediate start.
Teachers enjoy the vast opportunities to explore Egypt and experience the opportunity to scuba dive, golf, hike, camp, and sightsee. They can also visit the pyramids and float down the Nile River on an evening Felucca ride. Additionally, beautiful, exciting European, African, Asian, and Arab Destinations are within a 5-hour flight from Cairo.
Applicants should be flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic teachers with a good sense of humor and a desire to provide their students with an outstanding educational experience.
The Canadian International School of Egypt is home to students from Pre-School to Grade 12. Graduation from CISE provides its students with the Canadian “Ontario Secondary School Diploma.” CISE is listed on the Ontario Ministry of Education website as an Overseas Private School. The education curriculum is delivered in the same manner as if the school were in Toronto or Canada’s capital, Ottawa.
