Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a valid teaching certificate/license in content area and/or related field.
- Teaching experience in an American curriculum school is preferred.
- IELTS 7.5
- Experience with current best practices, current teaching materials, and current instructional strategies as well as recent professional growth activities as per ADEK standards.
- Annual Airfare Allowance to home country for self.
- Staff Housing/Housing allowance.
English Teacher Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of English language development and real-life application.
- Develop students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Provide an active and communicative approach to learning English.
- Implement effective and inclusive teaching processes using learning technology.
- Teach English language, literature, composition, and reading using a designated curriculum.
- Develop an appreciation for literature and motivate students to read for information and recreation.
- Evaluate students' progress in meeting English skill standards.
- Adapt lesson plans to the needs of individual students.
- Establish and enforce classroom behavior rules and maintain order.
- Plan and conduct balanced instruction programs with varied activities.
- Confer with parents, teachers, and administrators to resolve students’ issues.
- Prepare students for future grades and academic challenges.
- Use different types of technology to create meaningful learning experiences.
- Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Attend professional meetings, conferences, and workshops to improve teaching performance.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned (e.g., supervising break duties, and monitoring play areas).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school administrators.
- Commit to continuous professional growth and development.
