You must be a fully qualified teacher with:

  • • Passionate and caring educators
  • • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification 
  • • 6 years experience, including four consecutive years of teaching performance that exceeds standards and expectations as evidenced by Performance Appraisal
  • • Experience of the American curriculum
  • • A commitment to an extensive enrichment program

ADNOC Schools is currently seeking a high-performing Elementary Coordinator for an August 2025 start. The current vacancy is based in ADNOC School – Elementary Campus, Sas Al Nakhl, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities:

  • Support middle/senior leaders in promoting and developing a vision for the future of the school, demonstrating inspirational leadership and creativity
  • Play a significant role in the school improvement planning process, taking account of the agreed priorities of the school and reflecting specifically on personal areas of responsibility
  • Contribute to the identification of key areas of strength and weakness in the school with detailed reflection on day-to-day working knowledge of the school’s policies and practices
  • Develop and enhance a culture of teamwork in which the views of members of the school community are valued and taken into account
  • Contribute to the self-evaluation of the school
  • Maintain a high profile as an example of best and leading practices within the classroom and foster the high expectations to which the school aspires.
  • To lead, develop, and monitor whole school assessment in conjunction with middle/senior colleagues.
  • Carry out regular Teaching & Learning reviews to include lesson observations, work/mark book scrutiny, learning walks, and progress/attainment scrutiny
  • Share responsibility for the analysis of key school performance data to ensure priorities are appropriate and improvement in standards is promoted.
  • Oversee the development of effective timetabling, which meets and responds to the needs of students within the statutory frameworks and the resources available.
  • Coach and develop staff to maximize impact on effective teaching and learning.
  • Through liaison and guidance, work closely with curriculum leaders to ensure the best learning opportunities for children.
  • Include students to further enhance their learning opportunities and personal development.
  • Support the target-setting process, including statutory procedures and targets for individuals and groups throughout the school.
  • Implement strategies to promote high standards of behavior.
  • Seek to develop and enhance a broad and rich curriculum that meets the needs of the range of students in the school.
  • Monitor and evaluate outcomes achieved from classroom practice.
  • Take a leading role in the development of quality and manageable assessment practice throughout the school.
  • Lead the development of a core subject throughout the school to ensure high-quality teaching which supports high standards.
  • To demonstrate a commitment to positive behavior management throughout the school, acting as a restorative practice facilitator.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive school ethos, in which every individual is treated with dignity and respect, and promote safeguarding to ensure the welfare of children and young people is paramount.
  • Make a distinctive contribution to the wider school team and continue development to aid the transition through the phases.
  • Contribute to the development of collaborative approaches to learning within the school and beyond.
  • Work in collaboration with the High School Coordinator to aid the transition from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2
  • Monitor the effectiveness of colleagues’ teaching and wider professional impact in line with the performance management policy and procedures.
  • Support the recruitment, induction, and retention process for all new staff.
  • Lead, manage, and organize meetings as appropriate in support of the school’s aims.
  • Set high expectations for your performance and that of others.
  • Engage in relevant professional development activity, as necessary.
  • Quality assures summative assessments and ensures results are entered accurately and reliably
  • To ensure students’ progress is measured against UAE curriculum standards
  • To ensure students’ attainment is measured against external, national, and international benchmarking to improve teaching and learning (CPAA / MAP)
  • To use data analysis to monitor students’ progress and to identify gaps in learning
  • Identify underachieving students who should be targeted for intervention and support 
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the delegated areas of responsibility to ensure the school meets statutory requirements in a highly effective and efficient manner.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by the principal.
