Our Ibn Taymiyah School based in Ajman seeks a passionate and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join the team immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Use excellent subject knowledge, pedagogic and interpersonal skills to enthuse children and develop knowledge and skills in physical fitness, health education, dance, and individual, partner, or team games/sports
  • Deliver learning opportunities and activities to enrich and enhance the curriculum Engage and motivate children to achieve at levels that are beyond their expectations and previous limits
  • Ensure identified students have appropriate inclusion support and consideration within all programs
  • Make use of ICT and new technologies as appropriate
  • Evaluate each student's performance and growth and prepare progress reports
  • Provides appropriate safety instruction and makes safety checks on equipment and activity areas to ensure the overall safety of students
  • Maintains control of storage and use of school property
  • Co-operate with colleagues to establish and maintain fair, consistent, and positive behavior management in the classroom, around the school, and on school trips Communicate openly and professionally with parents regularly about the attainment and progress of their child, maintaining high levels of confidentiality Contribute to and plan after-school activities as required
  • Actively support the school partnership with the community - attending school/community events, which may occasionally occur at weekends or in the evening Maintaining excellent professional relationships with colleagues by making a wider professional contribution to the continuing improvement of the school
  • Contribute to a culture where teachers view themselves as facilitators of learning and are reflective practitioners
  • Participate in ongoing service and education development opportunities
  • Carry other responsibilities as reasonably requested.
