Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification and experience teaching IBDP Chemistry (minimum of [X years]).

Due to a sudden vacancy, we are looking for a chemistry teacher to start as soon as possible. This could be either a short-term or longer-term position, depending upon the candidate.
International School Eastern Seaboard is a leading American curriculum school on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified teacher for the position of IBDP Chemistry and general sciences teacher for our secondary school. This position will join a small team in the secondary school, and therefore, a second area of teaching specialization would be preferred.
The role involves fostering critical thinking skills, encouraging inquiry-based learning, and guiding students to develop a comprehensive understanding of chemistry and general sciences concepts within the framework of the IB DP.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum: implement a comprehensive IBDP chemistry curriculum that aligns with IB guidelines and promotes inquiry-based learning.
- Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction using a variety of teaching methods to engage students with diverse learning styles. Facilitate laboratory experiences that -enhance theoretical understanding.
- Assessment: Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor students in their academic pursuits and personal development, fostering a growth mindset and a love for chemistry.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues in the science department to enhance interdisciplinary learning and share best practices.
- Professional Development: Stay current with developments in the IB curriculum and chemistry education. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental meetings.
- Extracurricular Activities: Encourage student participation in science clubs, competitions, and other extracurricular activities that promote an interest in chemistry.
