Job Description:

BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Wuhan is seeking qualified candidates for a College Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year!

As a College Counselor at BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Wuhan, you will be responsible for teaching a daily college counseling workshop, completing college counseling reports, and serving as the Senior Research Project (SRP) coordinator. You will also organize college admissions visits each fall, conduct family college counseling evenings, meet one-on-one with 10th graders during the academic year, and instruct students on completing college admissions applications and financial aid applications and obtaining recommendations.

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for developing new program ideas, co-leading college information evening sessions, and developing and maintaining college planning and career assessment and readiness software such as Naviance. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both students and parents on selecting the correct college or university based on the student’s career trajectory. This position is focused on student success and readiness for college and university study in the United States and other countries.

About the School:

BASIS International & Bilingual School Wuhan will open in September 2023. Our first campus in Hubei province, faculty and students will enjoy state of the art facilities, including spacious classrooms, gymnasiums, multiple performance spaces, science labs, a swimming pool, student dorms, and much more. The school will open with Grades Pre-K â 9 to begin, and will grow to become a Pre-K â Grade 12 school.

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province and offers many scenic sites along the confluence of the Han and Yangtze rivers. It is in the very heart of China, roughly equidistant from Beijing in the north and Guangzhou in the south. There are many famous sites in and near the city, such as a Yuan-dynasty temple, the Hubei Provincial Museum, Yellow Crane Tower, Yangtze River Bridge and more.
